Shep - 8 yo Shep was initially handed in to the ACT Pound for re-homing. This lovable big bear of a boy was extremely ill with an upper respiratory infection and had pined for his owners so much his weight dropped to a mere 23kgs! Within weeks of being placed into foster care Shep thrived, gained weight & decided life was worth living after all. |
Shep is now very happy living on a Thoroughbred horse Stud in the Southern Highlands where he has the run of his owner's yard, young children to play with and protect, mares and foals to watch over and gets to go for long walks/runs through the countryside with his owner while out riding. |

Maggie - Just wanted to tell you that Maggie has found a new home. There has been plenty of interest thanks to your site, and she's now in a new home on a huge (and I mean HUGE - try 600 acres huge!) property, and even has a companion which she seems to have taken well to. I couldn't have asked for better for her - she deserves it. Thanks again for providing a wonderful resource for these dogs - you can count Maggie amonst the success stories! |
