Charlie came to her foster home undernourished and ridden by fleas.
She is blossoming now and turned out to be a bubbly girl full of life and character. She is energetic, cheeky, fun loving and will need a home where she can get enough exercise/stimulation. It would be perfect for her to have a play-buddy, as she loves playing games with other foster dogs, it being doggie-wresting or tag-o-war and chases with toys. She also loves her daily walks and is good on and off leash.
She can be kept occupied for quite some time with bones, as she loves food, bones (raw, of course) being the absolute favourite.
Charlie is now toilet trained (uses dog door) and well behaved inside; she also travels well in the car.
Medical notes:
Charlie came with an old injury to her right hind leg- it turned out the femur had been broken and not attended to- it healed badly and she practically stopped using that leg. She had a surgery while in foster care, and the vet surgeon decided against re-braking and resetting the bone, instead a piece of bone that was sticking out causing pain and restricting movement was cut off. The leg will never be 100%, and it is going to remain shorter, but Charlie is coping very well with it, running around without problems, although she does limp a bit.
