Honey was found wandering in a service station in Western
Sydney... Her rescuer took her to the vet and being microchipped they were
able to contact the owners... Only to find that they had given her away to
other people and the change of ownership had not been completed... Her
new/real owners didn't want to bother with her... So as is the law she was
taken to the pound, where she had to wait 14 days before her rescuer could
put in a tender to get her out alive. Her rescuer already has 2 large dogs
but would not see her die and are now looking to rehome her to the right Penny has said that she thinks that her need for love, attention and needing to belong seems to be the reason why she would escape all the time from her old owners... She believes that she was looking for someone to love her unconditionally and that will show her their love in the form of attention.. She said even the day after they first saw her in the carpark/service station.. She was looking up at car windows like she was looking for someone.. However they obviously didn't afford her the same respect in looking for her.. She said that she is timid and scared of a lot of things.. (she sounds a lot like Pablo in her needs from humans).. She apparently sits at the backdoor whilever they are home ... Penny said that just in the time she has known her she thinks that she just really needs to belong to someone... She is great with kids as can be seen in the photos... They have 3 kittens at
home at the moment that they have rescued too... Not sure about whether she
has contact with these.. But will be something else that I will find out..
Although from the way she describes her and how like Pablo she sounds
behaviourally she would probably be gentle with them too... |
