Maggie is very energetic and playful, and is a very affectionate dog. She is reasonably well trained - I completed her Obedience Level 1 with the Werribee Dog Club, and was progressing through Level 2 before I gave it up. She understands sit, stay, come, drop, to get on her mat, heel, etc - and she is reasonably road-savvy when on her leash (she'll automatically sit at a road and wait to be told to cross). She also loves to play games, particularly fetch games, and will do so until she drops (she won't quit!). I've been trying to teach her to play frisbee, but she's too eager, and so far she won't wait for the frisbee to reach her. She still loves it though, and thats what counts.

She adores people, but might be a bit boistrous for small children (she'd NEVER hurt anyone intentionally - there's no malice in her). An environment where she gets lots of attention and playtime would be the way to go. Training won't be a problem - she's pretty well sorted there. She is housetrained as far as I can tell, but since she hasn't spent great amounts of time indoors, that should be watched for. I don't expect any problems though. I would also be concerned about cats - she isn't used to them, and I don't know how she'd take to them.
