Tessa is a 14 month old blue heeler. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped and has been desexed.
While living with Pearl and Benji, Tessa has matured into a reliable and
confident dog with an endearing personality loved by everyone.
Tessa would suit a working home or agility. She chases balls and cats, but not poultry. She has a long leap and can run and bark all day. She likes to maintain eye contact at all times.
Tessa is a really loyal dog and has been through puppy school and beginner dog obedience training. She would be a valuable asset to any family with
a lonely dog, happy to live outside, gets on with everyone even poultry.
Update:
I see you have a photo of Tessa up in the Happy Endings, and thought I would catch you up on her doings with us. She is living in Bywong and has settled in well. We took her to training classes at the Canberra Vet Hospital and she was very bright, but for some reason decided that a border collie that was there was some sort of menace, so as long as she wasn't too close all went well. She really took to the learning's and that certainly helped. She is a bit of rounder up of the cats, who take it a bit amiss but generally she doesn't cause them any real problems. She managed to find a way out of the fenced paddock, by wriggling under a bit of fence, chased a bus, straight under a four wheel drive. The driver was brilliant letting us know immediately and she spent 10 days in hospital, getting her hip back in place, getting all the staff to fall in love with her, lightened our wallet considerably, but she is now running and jumping and swimming as well as ever. She is very lovable and is a talker, she lets you know when its time for her to hop up on your lap, when its time for a trip outside at night, and even when its time for bed. She is now 2 and settling down well, though like all cattle dogs hasn't really become an adult. You mention Ella on the website and she too came from the rescue service, 6 years ago and we can't imagine life without our blue girls. She is 11 now and has arthritis but is doing well on the medication, and at times she thinks she is still a puppy. Thank you for our girls. Cheers Kate |
