Rinso is only a young boy who is active and exhuberant, but also very affectionate.  He will get right on your lap if you let him.  He has an unusual pure white saddle on his back which looks almost like someone spilled bleach on him, hence the nickname Rinso, plus the other dog rescued at the same time was already named Ajax! 

It's hard to believe that his owners couldn't find a dog with such a distinctive marking :(  Rinso was quite stressed in the pound, but since his rescue he has put on some condition and settled down quite a bit - I even discovered he knows how to sit and shake hands.  Rinso is voice responsive and loves other dogs, but he would greatly benefit from some further training as he is bright.  Rinso isn't a chronic barker, but will bark if someone arrives or if the other dogs are out having fun and he feels he is missing out. 

Rinso enjoys the company of other playful dogs and was curious but well behaved when he met my cat (but wasn't too keen after the cat whacked him on the nose).  We haven't tested him properly with stock as yet, but will do so in the next week or so.  Rinso has met small children who are used to dogs, but would require supervision in their company.
